Abstract
Until now Korean churches have used evangelism only as a means of church growth. But this is wrong. The Church must take responsibility for all souls and have a mission for serving the local community as a holy agency that God builds on the earth. This can be named 'Koinonia'. Losing the mission of serving the world and neighbors is as good as salt losing taste and a candle hidden under a bowl. Therefore, church must change its image by severing community, and to implant the awareness of its essential being at hand. At first church must begin with easy, simple and possible things. Our church prepared a rest space for mountain climbers every week on Wednesday and Saturday. Somebody can take a break and relax with having a cup of tea. Every festive day congregants attempt distributes 'rice of love' and 'presents of love' to their poor neighbors. To accomplish the vision of the Good Samaritan, all members become one through specific dawn prayer meeting and the course of disciple training named MTS (Ministry Training School) on Friday, from 8 to 10 pm every week.
